The Nairobi National Park is home to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Orphanage. The Park itself is often overlooked by visitors to Kenya but it’s unique as one of the only protected wildlife areas so close to a modern city and serves as an important migration corridor for the animals.
It’s an ideal way to spend a half or full-day safari whilst in Nairobi with a large population of wildlife. Nairobi National Park animals include most of the “Big Five”; black rhino, giraffe, lion and an impressive collection of more than 400 bird species. There is a rhino sanctuary within the park and some breathtaking view points to relax.
